Root to seed is the first of two collaborative projects for sublime with Romes own producer and DJ LDonthecut and Technicali/Sounddaddy Emcee Thoughtsarizen.

Combining a sound of both vintage and new school, this project will get your attention and get that boom bap going back to booming!

With help from Akil of Jurassic Five, Braille of Humble Beast, LMNO from the Visionaries and Ariano, this EP is sure to make you happy.

From a fan: Thoughtsarizen & LD (aka LD on the Cut) are an interesting, funky, and intriguing addition to the rap/ hip hop scene. They have a new EP, Root to Seed for the world to hear, and it boasts some nice sounds. Before we get to that though, their song, “Vintage”, from the EP deserves special attention because, at the moment, it is my favorite from the project.

It is a striking song. The funky beat reminds me of the soundtrack to a 70’s movie or something and with a namesake like “Vintage”, I am sure this is no mistake. Probably one of the things the song does the best, is its subject matter. Refreshingly, the track does not include the usual suspects: sex, money, and drugs. It is different and it just sounds so old school; I love it.

The rest of the songs are no slouches either, and they all have their own appeal. Thoughtsarizen & LD incorporate different music styles into each song, so the EP is a fun exploration into different types of rap. If that is not enough of an incentive, they also have a song with Akil of Jurassic Five!
